What better way to start off this blog than to post a picture about the meal that starts off the day, more particularly... brunch! This was one of the first brunch places I went to after moving to Toronto back in fall 2018. The Green Wood is the perfect spot for a sunny brunch in the east end of Toronto; (not actually on Green Wood Ave. but) located on Queen Street East. With pink tiles on the floors and along the bar and numerous leafy green plants this place has #summervibes🌿 all year long. We had ordered the Souk Fries (left) and the Salmon Rosti (right); both excellent choices. The portions were very generous as well but we didn't have a single bite left over because it was so good. The Souk fries were very filling with a combination of your traditional french fries and small potato pieces as well as - deep fried cheese chunks - , mushrooms and a sunny-side egg to top it off.
